Africa Telecom Transmission Map

The fourth edition of the Africa Telecom Transmission Map for 2012/3 is published as an AO-sized poster wall map. The Africa Telecom Transmission map is printed on A0-sized (94 cm x 118 cm) high quality, long lasting Kodak photo paper.

The map shows Africa's terrestrial, satellite and submarine cable transmission networks as at September 2012. It contains data for over 135 network operators in 55 African countries, showing the status of terrestrial networks as operational, under construction, planned or proposed, and the status of submarine cable systems serving the region.

Rolling Transmission Map

Developed in response to popular demand, this web-based map allows you to zoom in to read the Africa telecom transmission map in much greater detail.

Designed to track the fast-moving roll out of transmission networks, the Rolling Transmission Map displays developments as they happen through articles posted into the map, and is updated on a quarterly basis. The largest scale viewable is 1:1,156,000 (1cm = 11.5 km).

Silver Transmission Map and Dataset

The Silver Transmission Dataset is provided with two additional layers of data to the transmission map, and six key metrics underlying the map.
